The Aviva Women's Tour visited Northamptonshire again this year and we were lucky enough to see the race pass through Great Brington, just a mile from Meadowview Cottages. It's the second time the event has visited Northamptonshire and we're always surprised how quickly the cyclists pass through, followed by a huge number of team cars and other support vehicles.
We had a lovely hour or so waiting for the race to arrive and hope that the event will return to the county again soon. Pictured below is eventual Tour winner Lizzie Armitstead wearing the leaders yellow jersey and looking very relaxed.
